1984–85 Illinois State Redbirds Men's Basketball Team
The 1984–85 Illinois State Redbirds men's basketball team represented Illinois State University during the 1984–85 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Redbirds, led by seventh year head coach Bob Donewald, played their home games at Horton Field House and were a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. The Redbirds finished the season 22–8, 11–5 in conference play to finish in a tie for second place. They were the number two seed for the Missouri Valley Conference tournament by virtue of sweeping the season series over Wichita State University. They were defeated in a quarterfinal game to Indiana State University. The Redbirds received an at-large bid to the 1985 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. The Detroit Mercy Titans (formerly known as the Detroit Titans) are the athletic teams of University of Detroit Mercy. The university is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. The school primarily competes in the Horizon League, but competes in other conferences for fencing and lacrosse, sports not sponsored for either men or women by the Horizon League. Ashwaubenon ( ) is a village in Brown County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 16,991 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. A suburb of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Green Bay, Ashwaubenon is part of the Green Bay metropolitan area and carries a Green Bay mailing address. Part of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin is in Ashwaubenon. Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena
The Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena (more commonly known as the Brown County Arena) was a 5,248-seat multi-purpose arena in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, situated on the corner of Lombardi Avenue and Oneida Street, across from Lambeau Field. The arena opened on November 11, 1958. The final event held at the arena was a Bret Michaels concert on April 6, 2019. The building, along with neighboring Shopko Hall, was replaced by a new exposition center, Resch Expo, in 2021. Demolition of the arena began April 30, 2019. The DePaul Blue Demons are the athletic teams that represent DePaul University, located in Chicago, Illinois. The Blue Demons participate in NCAA Division I and are a member of the Big East Conference. DePaul's Athletic Director is DeWayne Peevy. The Missouri State Bears and Lady Bears are the athletic teams representing Missouri State University (formerly Southwest Missouri State University). Missouri State's athletics programs date back to 1908. Missouri State competes in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision, but started a transition to the Football Bowl Subdivision on July 1, 2024.
