Jukkai (1984)
is the ninth single by Japanese entertainer Akina Nakamori. Written by Masao Urino and Masayoshi Takanaka, the single was released on July 25, 1984 by Warner Pioneer through the Reprise label. It was also the second single from her sixth studio album ''Possibility''. Background The B-side "Kore kara Naturally" was featured in the compilation albums ''Complete Single Collection: First Ten Years'' and ''Mou Hitori no Akina''. Earlier live and TV performances of the song were known for Nakamori's black outfit and backwards bend. Nakamori performed the song on the 35th ''Kōhaku Uta Gassen'', making her second appearance on NHK's New Year's Eve special. Nakamori has re-recorded "Jukkai (1984)" for the 2006 compilation ''Best Finger 25th Anniversary Selection''. In 2010, she re-recorded the song for the pachinko machine . Toshihiko Tahara
is a Japanese idol singer, and solo vocalist, affiliated with Johnny & Associates. In the 1980s he had a number of number 1 singles in Japan. He was awarded a Japan Music Award in 1983 for the song . The Checkers (Japanese Band)
The Checkers (Japanese: チェッカーズ) was a very popular Japanese band in the 1980s. They were a pop icon of their time as kids copied hair styles and fashion of the band members. The band was formed in Kurume-city, Fukuoka Pref. by Toru Takeuchi, the leader and the guitarist, who asked Fumiya Fujii to start a band with him in 1980. They won the Yamaha Light Music Contest in Junior category soon after forming the band. Due to some of the members being high school students at the time they were approached with a record deal they waited until those members finished high school. They made a debut on 21 September 1983 and split up on 31 December 1992. All of their single releases entered top 10 in Japanese charts, many of them making it to No 1. Shibugakitai (The Cool Kid Trio) (シブがき隊) was a Japanese boy band active from 1982 to 1988, managed by (the then-named) Johnny & Associates. Toshikazu Fukawa (Fukkun), Masahiro Motoki (Mokkun), Hirohide Yakumaru (Yakkun) were the three members of the group. Kyōko Koizumi
(born February 4, 1966) is a Japanese singer and actress. She is signed to Victor Entertainment. Career In 1981, Kyoko Koizumi participated in and won the Star Tanjo! programme and released her first single in March 1982. Anzen Chitai
is a Japanese rock band, formed in 1973 by five musicians in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. After debuting in Tokyo in 1982, they became one of Japan's most successful rock bands of the 1980s. Masahiko Kondō
, or Matchy, is a Japanese singer, lyricist, actor, racing car manager and former semi-professional racing driver. He was a member of the Tanokin Trio. Kondō is also a semi-professional racing driver and a racing team owner. He founded the racing team Kondo Racing in 2000, which currently competes in both Super Formula and Super GT.
