The 1981–82 South-West Indian Ocean cyclone season was a destructive and deadly cyclone season that occurred in Madagascar, where four cyclones killed 100 people and caused $250 million (USD) in damage. The eye is a region of mostly calm weather at the center of a tropical cyclone. The eye of a storm is a roughly circular area, typically in diameter.
