PAOK FC (, ), short for "Pan-Thessalonian Sports club, Athletic Club of Constantinople, Constantinopolitans" (), and commonly known as PAOK Thessaloniki, PAOK Salonika or simply PAOK, is a Greek professional Association football, football club based in Thessaloniki, Macedonia (Greece), Macedonia, Greece. PAOK are one of the top domestic clubs, the most widely supported in Northern Greece. Established on 20 April 1926 by Greek refugees who fled to Thessaloniki from Istanbul, Constantinople in the wake of the Greco-Turkish War (1919–1922), they play their home games at Toumba Stadium, a 29,000 seating capacity football ground. Christos Dimopoulos
Christos Dimopoulos (, born 6 September 1959) is a retired Greek footballer who played as a forward for PAOK and Panathinaikos F.C. His nickname was "Fonias" (''Φονιάς'', meaning Killer) of Greek football. Alongside his brothers, Thanasis Dimopoulos and Spyros, he holds the world record for the highest number of siblings scoring on the same day on 2 February 1992 in the Greek first division. Career Dimopoulos was born in Gastouni, Greece. He started his professional career in Aias Gastounis. He played for PAOK from 1980 to 1985, scoring 47 league goals in 112 appearances and 5 UEFA Europa League goals in 8 appearances with the club. With PAOK he won one greek championship. At the end of the 1985 season, Dimopoulos signed to Panathinaikos and later played professional with Athinaikos F.C. and Kalamata F.C. Neto Guerino
Guerino Minervino Neto (born 24 March 1950), commonly known as Neto Guerino, is a Brazilian former football player who played as a striker. Guerino played for Clube Atlético Mineiro and Nacional Futebol Clube in the Campeonato Brasileiro, before moving abroad to play in Greece. He had a very successful career in Greece and specifically Thessaloniki, playing there for almost thirteen years. His biggest success was with PAOK FC, being a key member of the squad that won the 1976 Greek championship, scoring 11 goals in 30 games. Panagiotis Kermanidis (Greek: Παναγιώτης Κερμανίδης; born 12 July 1950) is a Greek former football player and manager. Biography Kermanidis was born on July 14, 1950, in Zgorzelec, Poland from Greek political refugees and raised in Hungary. He played football in Kispesti Textil and later in MTK Budapest, until September 1973, when he was acquired by PAOK Thessaloniki. At PAOK, Kermanidis won the Greek Cup in 1974 and the championship in 1976. In his 8 years with the club, he scored 60 times in 233 appearances. Later, Kermanidis played for Makedonikos and Naoussa where he ended his career. Georgios Kostikos (footballer, Born 1958)
Georgios Kostikos (Greek: Γεώργιος Κωστίκος; born 26 April 1958) is a Greek former professional footballer. Playing career Club Kostikos began playing football with Pierikos in 1975, and two years later he was acquired by PAOK. He played for PAOK from 1977 to 1986, before finishing his career with Olympiacos and Diagoras. He won the 1985 Greek league title with PAOK. International Kostikos made 35 appearances and scored three goals for the Greece national football team from 1977 to 1984. He also participated in UEFA Euro 1980. Vassilis Vasilakos
Vasilios Vasilakos (; born 7 September 1960) is a Greek former professional footballer, who played as an attacking midfielder. Club career Vasilakos started his football career from Almyros Volos and in the summer of 1979 he was transferred to PAOK. He played with PAOK for 8 seasons, where he won the Championship in 1985 and played as a finalist in 2 Greek Cup finals in 1983 and in 1985. In the summer of 1987, Andreas Zafeiropoulos the president of AEK Athens brought Vasilakos to the club. Angelos Anastasiadis (; born 8 March 1953) is a Greek football manager and former international footballer. He previously coached numerous clubs in Greece including PAOK, Panathinaikos, Platanias and PAS Giannina as well as the Greece and Cyprus national teams.
