Aberdeen ( ; ; ) is a port city in North East Scotland, and is the third most populous Scottish city. Historically, Aberdeen was within the historic county of Aberdeenshire, but is now separate from the council area of Aberdeenshire. Gundadalur
Gundadalur is a sports complex in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands. It is home to three different football (soccer), football pitches and other sports facilities. The largest one is the national stadium Tórsvøllur, a multi-use stadium. Overview The actual Gundadalur Stadium is located just alongside Tórsvøllur. It was opened in 1911. There are two sports halls in the same area. Høllin á Hálsi is the oldest one; built in 1970, it is located just above Tórsvøllur. The sports hall has been owned by Tórshavn Municipality since 2004. Gundadalshøllin is the other sports hall, lying below and south of Høllin á Hálsi. Both sports halls are mainly used for handball and volleyball, but also for other public events, not related to sports. Willie Miller
William Ferguson Miller MBE (born 2 May 1955) is a Scottish former professional football player and manager, who made a club record 560 league appearances for Aberdeen. Sir Alex Ferguson described Miller as "the best penalty box defender in the world". Club career Born in Glasgow, Miller was raised in the Bridgeton area of Glasgow. He had little interest in football as a child, and when he did become drawn to the game he played initially as a goalkeeper. He was scouted by several professional clubs while playing as a forward with Glasgow Schools and Eastercraigs Boys Club. Pittodrie Stadium, commonly referred to as Pittodrie, from which the surrounding residential area has taken its name, is an all-seater stadium in Aberdeen, Scotland. Gordon David Strachan ( born 9 February 1957) is a Scottish former football coach and player who is currently Technical Director of Dundee. He played for Dundee, Aberdeen, Manchester United, Leeds United and Coventry City, as well as the Scotland national team. He has since managed Coventry City, Southampton, Celtic, Middlesbrough and Scotland. In club football, Strachan played 635 league games, scoring a total of 138 goals, playing 21 of 25 career seasons in either the English or Scottish top-flight. Nairn County Football Club is a Scottish senior football club based in the town of Nairn, Highland and currently play in the . John McMaster (footballer, Born 1955)
John McMaster (born 23 February 1955) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played for the bulk of his career with Aberdeen. McMaster made 316 appearances (47 as substitute) and scored 20 goals for Aberdeen and secured multiple winners medals between 1974 and 1986, including the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1983, two Scottish League titles and three Scottish Cups. McMaster had to be given the kiss of life during a Scottish League Cup game against Rangers on 3 September 1980 after Willie Johnston stamped on his neck at Ibrox Stadium, and he was badly injured against Liverpool in the European Cup a month later, which kept him out of the game for a year.
