Peter Fleming (tennis)
Peter Blair Fleming (born January 21, 1955, in Chatham Borough, New Jersey) is an American former professional tennis player. In his doubles partnership with John McEnroe, he won 52 titles, of which seven were at Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slams (four at Wimbledon Championships, Wimbledon, three at the US Open (tennis), US Open). As a singles player, he peaked at world No. 8, winning three titles (including the 1979 Cincinnati Open). Tennis career Fleming attended Chatham High School (New Jersey), Chatham High School, where he won the New Jersey high school individual championship in 1972, during his junior year. Miguel Mir Rodon (born 18 April 1956) is a former professional tennis player from Spain. Career Mir made his first Grand Slam appearance at the 1975 French Open, where he was beaten in the opening round by Roger Taylor. He didn't return to the tournament until 1980, when he again made a first round exit, with Brian Gottfried winning in straight sets. A month later he played in the 1980 Wimbledon Championships and lost to Steve Krulevitz in the opening round. His final attempt at registering a win came at the 1981 French Open, but he was beaten once more, this time by Billy Martin. Douglas Boson Palm (born 6 May 1951) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Early life Douglas Boson Palm was born on May 6, 1951 in Flen, Sweden. He grew up in Malmköping. Jan Norbäck (born 6 March 1956) is a Swedish former professional tennis player. Biography Born in Hudiksvall, Norbäck was based out of Torshälla. Norbäck played three Davis Cup matches for Sweden, all in the 1977 tournament, the first a win in a doubles rubber against Monaco with Douglas Palm early in the campaign. His other two matches came in Sweden's Europe Zone A semi-final against Italy in Båstad. The youngest player in either team, Norbäck partnered with Rolf Norberg in the doubles, with Sweden needing a win over the Italian pairing of Paolo Bertolucci and Adriano Panatta to keep the tie alive. Tenny Svensson (born 21 September 1952) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Biography Svensson played a 77-game opening round match against American John Andrews at the 1975 Wimbledon Championships, which he won 18–16 in the fifth set. The match went for 3 hours and 50 minutes. In his next match, against Onny Parun, he had to retire hurt in the second set. Nils Birger Lennart Andersson (born 26 March 1951) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Biography Andersson is best remembered for his performances for Sweden when they won the 1975 Davis Cup, the country's first title. Still a rookie, he had played professionally for only a few months before he got the Davis Cup call up. Up until the final he occupied the No. 2 singles position, behind Björn Borg.
