PAOK FC (, ), short for "Pan-Thessalonian Sports club, Athletic Club of Constantinople, Constantinopolitans" (), and commonly known as PAOK Thessaloniki, PAOK Salonika or simply PAOK, is a Greek professional Association football, football club based in Thessaloniki, Macedonia (Greece), Macedonia, Greece. PAOK are one of the top domestic clubs, the most widely supported in Northern Greece. Established on 20 April 1926 by Greek refugees who fled to Thessaloniki from Istanbul, Constantinople in the wake of the Greco-Turkish War (1919–1922), they play their home games at Toumba Stadium, a 29,000 seating capacity football ground. Aristarchos Fountoukidis
Aristotelis Fountoukidis (; 13 February 1942 – 7 July 2007) known mistakenly as Aristarchos Fountoukidis () was a Greek football defender. Fountoukidis was born in 1942 in Panteleimon, Kilkis. He started playing football at the age of 14 with Aris Panteleimon and in 1960 he moved to Apollon Kalamaria. In 1963 he transferred to MENT and from there he was acquired by PAOK in the summer of 1966, a move that was made possible thanks to the collaboration of PAOK administrative leader Giorgos Pantelakis with the team's coach Nikos Pangalos. Although he started his career as a center forward, at PAOK he established himself as a central defender and quickly became irreplaceable. Georgios Kostikos (footballer, Born 1958)
Georgios Kostikos (Greek: Γεώργιος Κωστίκος; born 26 April 1958) is a Greek former professional footballer. Playing career Club Kostikos began playing football with Pierikos in 1975, and two years later he was acquired by PAOK. He played for PAOK from 1977 to 1986, before finishing his career with Olympiacos and Diagoras. He won the 1985 Greek league title with PAOK. International Kostikos made 35 appearances and scored three goals for the Greece national football team from 1977 to 1984. He also participated in UEFA Euro 1980. Neto Guerino
Guerino Minervino Neto (born 24 March 1950), commonly known as Neto Guerino, is a Brazilian former football player who played as a striker. Guerino played for Clube Atlético Mineiro and Nacional Futebol Clube in the Campeonato Brasileiro, before moving abroad to play in Greece. He had a very successful career in Greece and specifically Thessaloniki, playing there for almost thirteen years. His biggest success was with PAOK FC, being a key member of the squad that won the 1976 Greek championship, scoring 11 goals in 30 games. Panagiotis Kermanidis
Panagiotis Kermanidis (Greek: Παναγιώτης Κερμανίδης; born 12 July 1950) is a Greek former football player and manager. Biography Kermanidis was born on July 14, 1950, in Zgorzelec, Poland from Greek political refugees and raised in Hungary. He played football in Kispesti Textil and later in MTK Budapest, until September 1973, when he was acquired by PAOK Thessaloniki. At PAOK, Kermanidis won the Greek Cup in 1974 and the championship in 1976. In his 8 years with the club, he scored 60 times in 233 appearances. Giannis Pathiakakis
Giannis Pathiakakis (; 15 June 1953 – 8 February 2002) was a Greek professional footballer who played as a midfielder and a later manager. After his death the stadium of Akratitos was named Yiannis Pathiakakis Stadium in his honour. Club career Pathiakakis started his football career in Apollon Athens, where he played from 1971 to 1977. He then played for one year in PAOK and in 1978 he was transferred to Nea Smyrni, in Panionios. In the three years he played in Panionios he was particularly productive. He was a key contributor to the progress of the Nea Smyrni club to winning the Greek Cup in 1979. Stavros Sarafis (; 17 January 1950 – 13 October 2022) was a Greek international footballer who spent his entire career at PAOK, playing mainly as a midfielder and occasionally as a forward. Angelos Anastasiadis (; born 8 March 1953) is a Greek football manager and former international footballer. He previously coached numerous clubs in Greece including PAOK, Panathinaikos, Platanias and PAS Giannina as well as the Greece and Cyprus national teams. Kyriakos "Koulis" Apostolidis (Greek: Κυριάκος "Κούλης" Αποστολίδης; born 3 March 1946) is a Greek former footballer. He began his career in the North American Soccer League and finished it with PAOK Thessaloniki in Greece.
