1976 Afghan Coup D'état Attempt
Mir Ahmad Shah (d. 1978) was an Afghan military general and Islamist intellectual who led an attempted coup d'etat against the Afghan government in December 1976. and was later executed after the 1978 communist takeover of the country. Due to his prominence and influence as a scholar, he had been brought into the government fold and given the title of ''Firqa Meshir'', chief of the army. Rizwani was a follower of Islamic scholar Muhammad Atta-ullah Faizani, and headed his own Islamist group, mainly composed of army personnel, called Qiyam-i Islami (Islamic Uprising), which plotted an abortive coup against the government of President Mohammed Daoud Khan. The coup was preempted; Rizwani and 50 of his associates (such as Sayyid Ismail Pasikh and Akhtar Mohammad Sulaimankhel) were arrested on December 9, 1976, and Rizwani executed in 1978 following the communist takeover. Saur Revolution
The Saur Revolution (; ), also known as the April Revolution or the April Coup, was a violent coup d'état and uprising staged on 27–28 April 1978 (, ) by the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan (PDPA), which overthrew President of Afghanistan, Afghan president Mohammad Daoud Khan, who had himself taken power in the 1973 Afghan coup d'état and established an Autocracy, autocratic One-party state, one-party system in the country. Daoud and most of his family were executed at the Arg, Kabul, Arg presidential palace in the capital city of Kabul by Khalq, Khalqist (a PDPA faction) Officer (armed forces), military officers, after which his supporters were also purged and killed. Muhammad Atta-ullah Faizani
Muhammad Atta-ullah Faizani (born 17 April 1923, date of death unknown) was an Afghan Islamic scholar. The honorific "Faizani", that means "something that overflows with God's light" was presented to him by a imam of the Kaaba during his Hajj. Early life and work Faizani was born in Herat, Afghanistan on 17 April 1923 to a family of ''miagan'', religious scholars said to be descended from an Islamic saint. As a child Faizani was home-schooled. in his early adolescence years , Faizani studied at a High School in Herat and finally at Kabul University, where he graduated in 1941. For eight years following his graduation he served as a High School principal in his hometown of Herat ,until a passion for God overcame him. Mohammed Daoud Khan
Mohammad Daoud Khan (Dari/) also romanized as Daud Khan or Dawood Khan; 18July 190928April 1978) was an Afghan head of state, military officer and politician who served as prime minister of Afghanistan from 1953 to 1963 and, as leader of the 1973 Afghan coup d'état which overthrew the monarchy, served as the first president of Afghanistan from 1973 until he himself was deposed in a coup and killed in the Saur Revolution.
