Winston-Salem is a city in Forsyth County, North Carolina, United States, and its county seat. University Of Dayton Arena
University of Dayton Arena (commonly known as UD Arena) is a 13,409-seat multi-purpose arena located in Dayton, Ohio. The arena opened in 1969. It is home to the University of Dayton Flyers basketball teams. From 2001 to 2010, the facility hosted the annual "play-in" game in the NCAA men's basketball tournament (officially the "opening round" game) which featured the teams rated 64th and 65th in the tournament field. Since 2011, when the tournament expanded to four opening-round games, the arena continued to host all "first four" games. The Capital Centre (later USAir Arena and US Airways Arena) was an indoor arena in the eastern United States, located in Landover, Maryland, a suburb east of Washington, D.C. 1976 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 1976 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball tournament was held in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Landover, Maryland, at the Capital Centre from March 4–6. defeated North Carolina, 67–62, to win the championship. In doing so, Virginia became the first ACC Tournament champion to defeat three teams ranked by the AP poll on their way to the championship. This was the first ACC Tournament to be held outside the state of North Carolina, and only the third time that a team from outside that state won the tournament (Maryland in 1958, South Carolina in 1971).
