1966 Icelandic Men's Basketball Cup
The 1966 Bikarkeppni karla was the 2nd edition of the Icelandic Men's Basketball Cup, won by KR after defeating ÍKF in the cup final. The final four was held in Reykjavík, in the Hálogaland arena in october 1966. Participating teams The qualification stage was split between the northern, southern, western and capital region part of the country. On 29 August, Snæfell defeated KFÍ in Stykkishólmur, 75-41, behind Sigurður Hjörleifsson's 26 points. It later defeated Borgarnes to secure a berth in the semi-finals. KR Men's Basketball
The KR men's basketball team, commonly known as KR or KR Basket, is a professional basketball club based in Reykjavík, Iceland. It is the men's basketball department of Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur (English: Reykjavík Football Club) multi-sport club. It has won the Icelandic championship eighteen times, the most national championships in the men's top-tier league history. It won a record 6 national championships in a row from 2014 to 2019. Njarðvík Men's Basketball
Njarðvík () is a town in southwestern Iceland, on the peninsula of Reykjanes. As of 2009, its population was 4,400.
