1965–66 Kansas Jayhawks Men's Basketball Team
The 1965–66 Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball team represented the University of Kansas during the 1965–66 NCAA University Division men's basketball season. Led by second-year head coach Ted Owens, the fourth-ranked Jayhawks won the Big Eight Conference title and the automatic berth in the 22-team NCAA tournament. The Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena was a multi-purpose arena at Exposition Park, in the University Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. It was located next to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and just south of the campus of the University of Southern California, which managed and operated both venues under a master lease agreement with the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Commission. Edwin W. Pauley Pavilion, commonly known as Pauley Pavilion, is an indoor arena located in the Westwood Village district of Los Angeles, California, on the campus of UCLA. It is home to the UCLA Bruins men's and women's basketball teams. The men's and women's volleyball and women's gymnastics teams also compete here. Ahearn Field House is one of the athletic buildings on the campus of Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. It is the former home of the Wildcats men's basketball and volleyball teams and is currently home to the indoor track and field squad.
