Országos Bajnokság I (men's Water Polo)
Országos Bajnokság I (, commonly abbreviated OB I) is the highest level water polo league for men in Hungary, that is administered and supervised by the Hungarian Water Polo Federation. Since 2009, after signed a four-year sponsorship contract with telecommunications company Vodafone, the competition is officially known as Vodafone OB I. Vasas SC (men's Water Polo)
The Vasas SC water polo team is a department of the Budapest-based sports association Vasas SC. One of the most successful teams in the country, they have won the Hungarian Championship 17 times and the Hungarian Cup 15 times. The club also had major successes on continental level as they won the LEN Euroleague (formerly European Champions Cup), Europe's premier water polo competition two times and took the LEN Cup Winners' Cup title on three occasions as well. István Pintér (water Polo, Born 1932)
István Pintér () ( January 25, 1831 – December 11, 1875) was a Hungarian Slovene writer and court in Felsőszölnök. He was born and lived in the Jánoshegy (locally: ''Janošovi brejg''), near Felsőszölnök. His parents were István Pintér and Mária Bajzék. About 1864, he wrote his cantor-book. This hymnal contains religious folk songs in the Prekmurje Slovene. The oldest hymn is ''Krisztus nam je od szmrti sztao'' (Christ Is Risen from the Dead) from the manuscript of Stična Monastery in Styria. Tivadar Kanizsa (4 April 1933 – 4 November 1975) was a Hungarian water polo player who competed in the 1956 Summer Olympics, in the 1960 Summer Olympics, and in the 1964 Summer Olympics. He was born in Debrecen and died in Jásztelek. Kanizsa was part of the Hungarian team which won the gold medal in the 1956 tournament. He played two matches. Four years later he was a member of the Hungarian team which won the bronze medal in the 1960 Olympic tournament. He played six matches and scored six goals. Egri Vízilabda Klub () is a Hungary, Hungarian water polo club based in Eger. One of the dominant teams in the country since the late 2000s, Eger won the national championship in 2011,2013,2014 and came in second in 2012. They also collected the gold medal in the Hungarian cup in 1972 and 2007. Beside the domestic successes they also finished runners-up in the LEN Cup in 2008.
