Aberdeen F.C. competed in the Scottish Football League in season 1916–17. Overview For the first time in the club's history, Aberdeen finished bottom of the league table. Also this season, club records for the lowest attendance at Pittodrie Stadium and heaviest defeat were set. At the conclusion of the season, Aberdeen (along with other clubs) withdrew from football for two years due to the ongoing First World War. Fir Park Stadium is a football stadium situated in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The stadium plays host to the home matches of Scottish Premiership club Motherwell and was the temporary home of Gretna for the 2007–2008 SPL season. Boghead Park was a football ground in the town of Dumbarton, Scotland. It was owned by Dumbarton F.C., who played there for 121 years between 1879 and 2000. By the time the ground closed in 2000, it was the oldest stadium in Scotland that had been in continuous use. History Dumbarton first used Boghead Park in 1879. The club shared the first Scottish league championship in 1891 with Rangers, then became the first outright champions in 1892. The pitch was turned 90 degrees in 1913. Shawfield Stadium
Shawfield Stadium is a venue in the Shawfield district of the town of Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, located close to the boundary with Glasgow. Originally a football ground, Shawfield was home to Clyde F.C. from 1898 to 1986. Greyhound racing was introduced in 1932, and the stadium hosted the Scottish Greyhound Derby from 1970 to 1985 and from 1989 to 2019. The Glasgow Tigers (speedway), Glasgow Tigers speedway team were also based there, from 1988 to 1995 and 1997 to 1998, with the Edinburgh Monarchs, Scottish Monarchs also racing there in 1996.
