1910 Copa Del Rey
The Copa del Rey 1910 comprised two different competitions held the same year. Due to disagreements between the reigning champion of the tournament, Club Ciclista de San Sebastián, and some of the clubs invited, in 1910 two parallel competitions were held: an "official", organized by the newly created FECF (Federación Española de Clubs de Football), forerunner of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (), in Madrid and an "unofficial", organized by the UECF (Unión Española de Clubs de Football), in San Sebastián. Both are currently recognized as official by the RFEF. Copa UECF (Unión Española de Clubs de Football) The competition started on 19 March, and concluded on 21 March, with the last group stage match. Club Ciclista De San Sebastián
Club Ciclista de San Sebastián was a cycling club based in San Sebastián, Basque Country, Spain. In 1909 the football section won the Copa del Rey. A few months after this victory, the players who had won the tournament founded the club that would later become Real Sociedad. History The San Sebastián Cycling Club was founded in February 1907 as a sports club dedicated to the practice of cycling, which had a great following in the city at that time. The main promoter of this hobby was Julián Comet, a French citizen who had settled in the city at the end of the 19th century. Comet was a great lover of cycling and he was the driving force behind the first, but short-lived, velodrome in the city, the Atocha Velodrome, installed in 1906, where the world cycling figures of the time would pass. Armando Giralt
Armando Giralt Iduate (23 March 1885 – 21 April 1948) was a Cuban-born Spanish footballer who played as a forward for Madrid FC, Club Español de Madrid and RCD Espanyol. José Manuel Kindelán
José Manuel Kindelán Duany (8 October 1887 – 9 November 1919) was a Spanish referee and footballer who played as a defender for Atlético Madrid. Playing career Born in Cádiz, Kindelán moved to Madrid as a child, and eventually, he joined Español de Madrid in 1908, helping the club win its first piece of silverware, the 1908–09 Centro Championship, and then reached the 1909 Copa del Rey final, which they lost 1-3 to Club Ciclista. His great campaign with Español earned him a move to Sociedad Gimnástica in 1909, where he featured alongside the likes of José Carruana and Sócrates Quintana. Romà Forns
Romà Forns Saldaña (died 26 April 1942) was a Spanish footballer and manager. He made his debut as a footballer in late 1902 playing one season for Irish FC but spent the rest of his career with FC Barcelona and the Catalan XI, always as a forward. He later served on the Barcelona board of directors and then coached the club between 1927 and 1929, guiding it to the first ever La Liga championship. He was the first manager from either Spain or Catalonia to take charge of the club. During his playing career, Forns helped Barcelona win the Championat de Catalunya on five occasions and the Copa del Rey once. Among his teammates at the club were Ernest Witty, Francisco Bru, Paulino Alcántara and Jack Greenwell. Percival Francis Wallace Midgley (1890 – 17 November 1949) was an English footballer who played as a forward for Spanish club FC Barcelona. His older brother, Charles, also played for Barcelona. Charles William Wallace Midgley (20 January 1885 – 13 December 1942) was an English footballer who played as a forward for Spanish club FC Barcelona. Along with his younger brother, Percival, he was part of the first great team of FC Barcelona, with whom he scored 105 goals in just 102 matches, although this tally includes goals scored in friendlies and unofficial games.
