The 1883–84 season was the 11th season of competitive football in Scotland. This season saw the introduction of the British Home Championship, with Scotland winning the inaugural contest. In addition, two further regional competitions were played for the first time with the inaugural Forfarshire Cup and Stirlingshire Cup. Honours Cup honours National Vale of Leven asked for a postponement to the date of the Scottish Cup Final due to bereavements, illness etc. but the Scottish Football Association refused and awarded the cup to Queen's Park. Cambuslang (, from ) is a town on the south-eastern outskirts of Greater Glasgow, Scotland. With approximately 30,000 residents, it is the 27th-largest town in Scotland by population, although, never having had a town hall, it may also be considered the largest village in Scotland. The Fife Cup is a Scottish regional football competition for clubs in the historic county of Fife. The competition was founded by the Fifeshire Football Association in 1882. The competition was originally known as the "Fifeshire Cup" from 1882–1896 and the "Fife and District Cup" between 1896 and 1900.
