Olešče
Olešče () is a settlement in the Municipality of Laško in eastern Slovenia. It lies in the hills east of Laško. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Savinja Statistical Region. Name The name of the settlement was changed from ''Sveti Peter pri Jurkloštru'' (literally, 'Saint Peter near Jurklošter') to ''Olešče'' in 1959. The name was changed on the basis of the 1948 Law on Names of Settlements and Designations of Squares, Streets, and Buildings as part of efforts by Slovenia's postwar communist government to remove religious elements from toponyms. The settlement is still locally known as ''Šempeter''. The name ''Olešče'' was first attested in 1328 as ''Beleczicz'' (and as ''Wellesitsch'' in 1382 and ''Beleschicz'' in 1423). Otočec (, ) is a settlement on the left bank of the Krka River in the City Municipality of Novo Mesto in southeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. Pivka (, , ) is a small town in Slovenia in the Pivka Basin in the Karst region. It is the seat of the Municipality of Pivka. It belongs to the traditional region of Inner Carniola. Name Pivka was first mentioned in 1300 as ''villa Sancti Petri super Piucha'' ('St. Peter above the Pivka River'), and in 1498 as ''Sannt Peter''. Šempeter Pri Gorici
Šempeter pri Gorici (, also generally known simply as ''Šempeter''; ) is a town and the administrative seat of the Municipality of Šempeter-Vrtojba in the Slovene Littoral region of Slovenia. There is a border crossing into the Italian town of Gorizia. Through most of its history, it was linked to the town of Gorizia (), which is now in Italy, whence also its name, literally meaning 'St. Peter near Gorizia'.
