Černí Baroni (film)
''Černí baroni'' is a Czechoslovakia, Czechoslovak comedy film released in 1992. The movie is directed by Zdenek Sirový and stars Václav Vydra (actor born 1956), Václav Vydra, Jan Kraus (actor), Jan Kraus, Miroslav Donutil, Jiří Schmitzer, and Ondřej Vetchý. It is based on the 1969 novel ''Černí baroni (book), Černí baroni'' by Miloslav Švandrlík. Synopsis The film presents "Pétepáky"—members of the Technical auxiliary battalion—an army battalion formed by people known as class enemies of History of Czechoslovakia (1948–1989), communism in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. The group includes intellectuals, people of bourgeois origins, peasants, religious adherents, etc. This group is offset by their commanders, who are uneducated but politically active. From the clashes between the two groups, absurd situations arise, parodying the conditions of the period in Czechoslovak history. Cast External links

Jan Vladimír Kraus (born 15 August 1953) is a Czech actor and TV host. He appeared in more than eighty films since 1967. Kraus was also a judge on Česko Slovensko má talent (Czecho Slovakia's Got Talent). He is the host of the television talk show ''Show Jana Krause''. Josef Somr
Josef Somr (14 April 1934 – 16 October 2022) was a Czech actor. He was noted for starring in the Oscar-winning 1966 film '' Closely Watched Trains'', as well as in '' The Joke''. Early life Somr was born in Vracov, Czechoslovakia, on 14 April 1934. He studied at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts, graduating in 1956. Career Somr started his acting career at various regional theatres, before becoming a part of The Drama Club in Prague. There, he received roles in productions directed by Ladislav Smocek, Jan Kačer, and Jiří Menzel. He began acting in films starting in the mid-1960s, making his film debut in '' Accused'' (1964). Miroslav Táborský
Miroslav Táborský (born 9 November 1959 in Prague, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech actor who has appeared in Czech television series, as well as in American films. Táborský studied physics at the University of Hradec Králové, and then graduated from the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU) in 1987. Daniel Landa (born 4 November 1968) is a Czech musician, actor, car racer, and amateur muay thai fighter. Born in Prague, Landa graduated with honours from Prague Conservatory, having studied music and drama. He began his musical career in 1988 when he, along with David Matásek, founded the oi! band Orlík, with whom he released two albums. Orlík has been criticized for its racist overtones, targeting specifically the Gypsy minority in the Czech Republic. History Of Czechoslovakia (1948–1989)
From the Communist coup d'état in February 1948 to the Velvet Revolution in 1989, Czechoslovakia was ruled by the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (, ''KSČ''). The country belonged to the Eastern Bloc and was a member of the Warsaw Pact and of Comecon. During the era of Communist Party rule, thousands of Czechoslovaks faced political persecution for various offences, such as trying to emigrate across the Iron Curtain.
