École secondaire Louis-Joseph-Papineau is a francophone public mixed secondary school in the region of Outaouais in Quebec. It is located in the municipality of Papineauville in the Papineau region (also called la Petite-Nation region) about 30 kilometres east of the eastern limits of the city of Gatineau along route 148 and 60 kilometres from downtown Ottawa. It is operated by the Centre de services scolaire au Cœur-des-Vallées (CSSCV) school board. In 2019, the school had 506 students and 38 teachers. History In 1968, there is an association with Séminaire Montfort and the Commission scolaire régionale Papineau (CSRP) during the school Reform system in Quebec. Route 148 is an east-west highway in Quebec, Canada. It runs from junction of Autoroute 13 and Autoroute 440 in Laval in the Montreal region to the Ontario-Quebec border in L'Isle-aux-Allumettes in western Quebec. For most of its length, Route 148 follows the north shore of the Ottawa River where it acted as the principal route between communities in the Outaouais region until the completion of Autoroute 50 in 2012. Louis-Joseph Papineau (; October 7, 1786 – September 23, 1871), born in Montreal, Province of Quebec (1763–1791), Quebec, was a politician, lawyer, and the landlord of the ''seigneurie de la Petite-Nation''. He was the leader of the reformist Patriote movement before the Lower Canada Rebellion of 1837–1838. His father was Joseph Papineau, also a politician in Quebec. Papineauville () is a town and municipality in the Outaouais region of Quebec, Canada. It is the seat of the Papineau Regional County Municipality. In 2001 its population was 2247. The municipality is bordered on the north side by the Petite-Nation River and on the south side by Pentecost Bay of the Ottawa River. History The Parish of Sainte-Angélique was formed in 1851, and the parish municipality with the same name was created in 1855.
