Ángel Luis García García (born July 11, 1988) is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player for Santeros de Aguada of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). García began playing basketball in his native municipality, before moving to Lake Forest, Illinois, and playing one year for Lake Forest Academy, then transferring to East Chicago, Indiana, where he attended East Chicago Central High School. García, Kawann Short and E'Twaun Moore led E.C. Central to a 23-3 overall record and won the Indiana Class 4A state title. While in high school, he was included in the World Team that participated in the Nike Hoops Summit. García was recruited to the University of Memphis by John Calipari, but was unable to play during his freshman year after confronting difficulties to meet the standards of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Eligibility Center. Cariduros de Fajardo were a professional basketball team of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), founded in 1973. Based in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, the team played at the Tomás Dones Coliseum, and contested the BSN, the top division of basketball in Puerto Rico. History The team was founded in 1973 and participated in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional before folding in 1998 due to financial issues. The original franchise featured notable players such as Georgie Torres, Edgar León, Wilson Oquendo, Oscar Fuentes and Daniel Vasallo, as well as coach Julio Toro. Liga Española De Baloncesto
The Primera FEB, formerly known as LEB or LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the FEB. The FEB leagues are divided into three categories (the other two are the Segunda FEB and the Tercera FEB). The league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the Primera FEB are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The teams that finish the season in 2nd to 9th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Liga ACB. Joshua Paul Pastner (born September 26, 1977) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the men's basketball head coach at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Kawann Arcell Short (born February 2, 1989) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Purdue Boilermakers. He was selected by the Panthers in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft. Early life Short was born in East Chicago, Indiana. He went to Central High School in East Chicago. There, he was a two-sport athlete playing both football and basketball.
