''À propos de Sarajevo'' is a 2005 documentary short film written and directed by Haris Pašović. It is the story about a Sarajevo festival led by Edin Zubcevic and the city of Sarajevo which, despite four years of the brutal siege of Sarajevo, still nourishes multiculturalism and love of jazz music. The documentary is 30 minutes long and features E.S.T., Denis Baptist, Bojan Zulfikarpašić Trio, Dhafer Yousuf, Anuar Brahem and several other European bands. Haris Pašović
Haris Pašović (born 16 July 1961) is a Bosnian theatre director. Over the course of his career, he has also worked as a playwright, producer, choreographer, performer, and designer. He is best known for his productions of Wedekind's “Spring Awakening (play), Spring Awakening”. He is the artistic leader of the East West Theatre Company in Sarajevo and tenured Professor of Directing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. Life and career Pašović was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1961. His education includes the Academy of Performing Arts in Novi Sad, former Yugoslavia; the Fulbright Scholarship in the USA (University of Hawaii, Honolulu, New York University and the University of Wisconsin, Madison); the UNESCO High Levels for Directors, Festival d’Avignon, France, and other professional trainings. The siege of Sarajevo () was a prolonged military blockade of Sarajevo, the capital of Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the ethnically charged Bosnian War. Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Bojan Zulfikarpašić ( sr-cyr, Бојан Зулфикарпашић), known professionally as Bojan Z. (born February 2, 1968) is a Serbian jazz pianist. Early life He started playing and studying piano at the age of 5 in music school "Kosta Manojlović" in Zemun. As a teenager, he started playing in bands on Belgrade jazz scene, where he received an award as the Best Young Jazz Musician of Yugoslavia award in 1989. Since 1988 Bojan moved to Paris, France, where he developed a successful career as a pianist, composer and producer.
