The school currently includes a preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school (pre-kindergarten to Grade 12). As of September 2017, the school had 235 students in 14 grades, with 32 full-time staff and 7 part-time staff. Tsukuba International School is a member of the Japan Council of International Schools (since 1998) and is recognized as an incorporated school (学校法人) by the Ibaraki Prefecture government.
