Caramelized pork and eggs[1] (Vietnamese: Thịt kho tàu, literally translated as Braised Meat in Light Sauce[2]) is a Vietnamese traditional food[3] consisting of marinated pork and boiled eggs braised in coconut juice.

Although it is a normal everyday dish, in southern Vietnam[4] it is one of the traditional foods during Tết[5] (or Vietnamese New Year). Before the dish is served for general consumption, the dish is offered to deceased ancestors or family members[6] on altars.

In Vietnam, rice is commonly served along with the dish.[7]
