The racial makeup was 82.80% (12,021) White (U.S. census), White, 3.51% (509) Black (U.S. census), Black or African American, 0.07% (10) Native American (U.S. census), Native American, 11.45% (1,662) Asian (U.S. census), Asian, 0.01% (2) Pacific Islander (U.S. census), Pacific Islander, 0.44% (64) from Race and ethnicity in the United States census#Race, other races, and 1.72% (250) from two or more races. Hispanic (U.S. census), Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.32% (337) of the population. Of the 5,230 households, 35.3% had children under the age of 18; 69.8% were married couples living together; 6.7% had a female householder with no husband present and 21.2% were non-families. Of all households, 18.8% were made up of individuals and 10.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.70 and the average family size was 3.09. 24.5% of the population were under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 19.2% from 25 to 44, 31.8% from 45 to 64, and 19.0% who were 65 years of age or older.
