The Spain women's national handball team is the national team of

and takes part in international handball competitions. Spain was the big surprise of the 2008 European Championship, making it to the final after beating Romania and Germany and getting a draw against Norway, all of which were expected to beat Spain. In the final, Spain once again met Norway. They couldn't repeat their efforts from the group stage, however, and lost 34–21.
