Rats

In late 2019, Rats were found at the school. This sent shockwaves through the community, and Shoeburyness High School was featured in multiple news outlets up and down the country as a result. The rats were spotted in the toilets, and it is believed they were using the school as a feasting ground, picking up any crumbs dropped by children during the day. There were also odd smells present around the school, as the school made an attempt to clear the air vents of the rats. The rat has become an icon at Shoeburyness High School and will remain a key element of their past.
