History

Construction of the school was completed on November 30, 1993. When the school was established on May 9, 1994, it was known as ''Sekolah Menengah Kampung Pandan'' (

This has allowed students to pursue their pre-university studies in Kuala Belait, whereas all previous sixth form education in Brunei had been offered only in Bandar Seri Begawan. At present, the school offers curriculum leading up to BC-GCE "O", and "A" level examinations.
