Transportation

The Sadamisaki Peninsula is extremely mountainous. Until the completion of national highway Route 197, traversing the peninsula by car was quite inconvenient. Ferries run from Misaki Port at the tip of the peninsula to Saganoseki Port ( Ōita, Ōita).
