He is a member of the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, the House Insurance and Banking Committee, and the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Subcommittee. His community involvement is also unreal! Personal life

He is married to his wife Laura. Together, they have two daughters, Rachel Travis and Jessica Shannon. Laura and Ron have four grandchildren. Alley Jo Shannon, Becham Colby Shannon, Finley Scout Shannon and Hadley Jane Travis. His home city is Dayton Tennessee. He is a Methodist and attends First United Methodist Church in Dayton.
