Renault Groupe Renault ( , , , also known as the Renault Group in English; legally Renault S.A.) is a French multinational automobile manufacturer established in 1899. The company produces a range of cars and vans, and in the past has manufacture ...
from 1923 until 1931.

Details and Evolutions

The KZ was the replacement of the Type GS and the Type IG and its intention was to be a rival of the Citroen Type C in the class called "populaires" (economic). The car had a 4-cylinder engine of 2120 cc, 33 cm larger than its predecessors. It achieved good sales success. From 1927 it was replaced by three models, called Type KZ1, KZ2 and KZ3, with many improvements, including the considerably lengthened wheelbase (by 21 cm) for some versions. Sales were so good, that van and pickup versions were also produced after some time. Between 1930 and 1931, the last year of KZ production, the KZ4 and KZ5 were introduced, characterized by a more up-to-date look and an even larger and more welcoming car body.
