Biography

Daumal was born in Boulzicourt, Ardennes, France. In his late teens his avant-garde poetry was published in France's leading journals. As an adolescent, Daumal co-founded the art group ''Les Phrères Simplistes'' with the poets Roger Gilbert-Lecomte and
