Early life

Perlat Musta was born in
Vlorë Vlorë ( , ; sq-definite, Vlora) is the third most populous city of the Republic of Albania and seat of Vlorë County and Vlorë Municipality. Located in southwestern Albania, Vlorë sprawls on the Bay of Vlorë and is surrounded by the foothi ...
on 15 October 1958 into a family which did not have "strong" connections with football. He began to show his liking for football at the age of 10, and unlike his coevals, Musta's favourite position was goalkeeper.

Musta was a product of
