In the City of Edmonton's 2012 municipal census, Oleskiw had a population of living in dwellings, a -2.3% change from its 2009 population of . With a land area of , it had a population density of people/km² in 2012.

Residential development

Development of the neighbourhood began during the 1970s when one in six (15.8%) of the residences were constructed. The pace of development increased during the 1980s when one half (52.1%) of the residences were constructed. The remaining one third (32.1%) of residences were built during the 1990s. By 2000, according to the 2001 federal census, residential construction in the neighbourhood was substantially complete. According to the 2005 municipal census, the most common type of residence in the neighbourhood is the single-family dwelling. Nine out of ten residences (88%) are single-family dwellings.
