. It is managed by NSGC. The Corporation's role is to ensure the gaming industry is as socially responsible as possible, while generating reasonable profits. The provincial government makes the big picture, policy decisions about how the industry will be operated in Nova Scotia. NSGC manages and implements those decisions. NSGC also oversees and manages the gaming operators who carry out the day-to-day business of gaming - Casino Nova Scotia (CNS) and Atlantic Lottery.

The Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation (NSGC) is responsible for the business of gaming in Nova Scotia. It is a Crown corporation governed by the provincial Gaming Control Act, and is charged with leading an economically sustainable and socially responsible gaming industry for the benefit of Nova Scotians and their communities.
