(i)

MUCOROMYCOTINA is a subdivision of Fungi
Fungi
of uncertain phylogenetic placement. It contains 3 orders , 61 genera , and 325 species.

Parasitic, saprotrophic, or ectomycorrhizal (forms mutual symbiotic associations with plants); asexual or sexual reproduction; branched mycelium; contains 3 orders that represent the traditional Zygomycota.

It includes the orders Endogonales , Mucorales
Mucorales
, and Mortierellales .

Mucoromycotina includes many of the model Zygomycetes
Zygomycetes
. It includes many rapidly growing species. Most are saprobes, plant pathogens, and mycoparasites. Some induce human mycosis.
