Premise

''Mortified'' follows the imaginative life of Taylor Fry, a thirteen-year-old girl living in a beachside town in Australia called Sunburn Beach, as she struggles to make it through her teen years with her flawed and embarrassing family. She is embarrassed by her parents; jealous of her neighbour Brittany; her best friend, Hector, has a crush on her; and she has a crush on popular Leon. Taylor frequently breaks the
fourth wall The fourth wall is a performance convention in which an invisible, imaginary wall separates actors from the audience. While the audience can see through this ''wall'', the convention assumes the actors act as if they cannot. From the 16th cen ...
