Meanwhile, the show that preceded ''MADtv'' ('' Talkshow with Spike Feresten'') was moved to the 11pm time slot and expanded to an hour. The show's format and set also saw major changes. Instead of filming sketches before a live audience, all of the sketches were now pre-recorded and shown to the audience.
