during the 2004–05 season; however, Harris shot 40% from the field and 32% from the 3-point zone while averaging a career-low 4.3 points per game. Following that season, he was released by the Cavaliers in an attempt to get under the salary cap. On February 3, 2007, Harris's #30 jersey was retired by Long Beach State during halftime of the 49ers' game against the University of the Pacific. Harris was the school's all-time leading scorer, scoring 2,312 points throughout his career. In addition, Harris was the school's single-season leading scorer, scoring 739 points in the 1992–1993 season. Lucious was also known for his defense.
