fraternities and sororities, organized by their national umbrella organizations. In 2023, the university recognizes more than seventy Greek letter organizations. Six percent of the university's undergraduates, more than 5,300 students, belonged to a fraternity or sorority during the 2020–21 academic year. In the fall of 2022, 8% of the male undergraduate students belonged to a fraternity and 10% of the undergraduate females belonged to a sorority.
