On 26 January, 2022, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his cabinet has proposed 13 new districts and notified under AP Districts Formation Act, Section 3(5). After taken into consideration the objections and suggestions received from the public of those districts, the government has published the final notification on 3 April, 2022 i.e., With effect on and from 4 April, 2022 the new districts will be formed as specified in the schedule.
