Northeastern chapter designations begin with ''Alpha'', ''Lambda'', or ''Zeta.'' Midwest designations begin with ''Beta'', and West Coast chapters begin with ''Delta''. Mid-south American chapters begin with ''Epsilon'' or ''Kappa'', while most southern chapters are designated at ''Gamma'', ''Nu'', or ''Theta''.
