Média. A lockout of unionized employees (members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees) began in April 2007 and continued until July 2008. It was the longest-running lockout in the history of the Québec media until then. As an answer to the lockout, the workers launched their own free daily newspaper, MédiaMatin Québec. On November 27, 2012, ''Le Journal de Québec'' launched a special edition for the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, which includes several pages of local news for the region.
