Of the 6,125 households 7.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.0% were married couples living together, 4.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.9% were non-families. 26.5% of households were one person and 20.9% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 1.91 and the average family size was 2.22. The age distribution was 7.7% under the age of 18, 2.1% from 18 to 24, 8.8% from 25 to 44, 20.6% from 45 to 64, and 60.8% 65 or older. The median age was 68 years old.
