In 2010, he won the gold medal at the world rowing championship at Lake Karapiro in New Zealand, rowing in the coxless four, with Jean-Baptiste Macquet, Dorian Mortelette and Germain Chardin. Julien Desprès studied at EM Lyon Business School.
