Electoral history

Morgan got 77 percent of the vote in a special election 2011-11-08 to fill the seat vacated by Jean Peters-Baker, who had resigned earlier that year to become the Prosecutor of Jackson County, Missouri. She served just under 4.5 terms, the maximum allowed under Missouri term limits. She got 83 percent of the vote in 2012, and was unopposed in 2014, 2016, and 2018. She was termed out in 2020 and was replaced by Emily Weber.
