where he playing sparingly in two seasons. He was transferred to Monterrey after the 1992–93 season, Noriega went on to play for the next four years with Monterrey. He was transferred to Cruz Azul for the Verano 1997 season, where he played 17 matches and scored only one goal. After only one tournament with Cruz Azul, Noriega played the following two years with
