The Jamunia River is a tributary of the Damodar River. It flows through the Hazaribagh district, Hazaribagh, Giridih district, Giridih, Bokaro district, Bokaro and Dhanbad district, Dhanbad districts in the Indian States and territories of India, state of Jharkhand.


Course

The Jamunia River rises on the Chota Nagpur Plateau#Hazaribagh plateau, Hazaribagh plateau, near Bishnugarh (community development block), Bishungarh. It runs near the Grand Trunk Road from around Bagodar to past Dumri, Giridih, Dumri and then turns towards Gomoh in south, forms the border between Dhanbad district, Dhanbad and Bokaro district, Bokaro districts and joins the Damodar River, Damodar near Jamuniatand.
