The IJCAI Award for Research Excellence is a biannual award before given at the IJCAI conference to researcher in
artificial intelligence Artificial intelligence (AI) is intelligence—perceiving, synthesizing, and inferring information—demonstrated by machines, as opposed to intelligence displayed by animals and humans. Example tasks in which this is done include speech re ...
as a recognition of excellence of their career. Beginning in 2016, the conference is held annually and so is the award.
