Hubert Morse Blalock Jr. (August 23, 1926 – February 8, 1991) was an American sociologist who was internationally known for his major work on statistical research methods. He received his doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and subsequently taught at the University of Michigan (1952–1963) and the University of North Carolina (1963–1971)
