Early years

Born and raised in Port Said, Ishak graduated from
Cairo University Cairo University ( ar, جامعة القاهرة, Jāmi‘a al-Qāhira), also known as the Egyptian University from 1908 to 1940, and King Fuad I University and Fu'ād al-Awwal University from 1940 to 1952, is Egypt's premier public university ...
with a BA in history and began his career as a history teacher, headmaster and later as a consultant. Politically active at a young age, he was a member of Egypt's Constitution Party.

Ishak was a founding member and first general coordinator of the
