The medal of the Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang is worn as a neck decoration pendant from a ribbon. Recipients are entitled to use the post-nominal letters DUBC. The military equivalent of the award is the Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang (Tentera).
